How to make your own turban headband.
What You Need:
- Fabric that stretches: spandex, and knits work well
- Sewing machine or ability to hand-sew (which is easy to learn)
How To:
Cut two strips, 8″ wide by 24″ long. The length varies on how huge your head is but you want the headband to be snug. Your fabric should stretch more one way than the other, make sure it stretches the way that will help you put it over your head.
Sew the strips together (1/4″ seam allowance) so they are half the width. Turn the fabric inside out so you have two tubes of fabric
“Link” the two strips bringing the open/raw edges together. Make sure your seams are showing out at this point.
Sew the four ends of the strips together. Turn inside out so now the seams and seam allowance are inside.Jazz it Up: Feel free to embellish your headband with studs or beads or whatever you have around the house.
Recycle: Instead of buying fabric, use an old t-shirt with a cool graphic print on it or fun pattern

I hope this was useful! Gonna try this out myself too, can't wait :)It's not everyday you can use recycled clothings and turn it to something fashionable right!
