If you want something you never had, you have to do something you've never done.

Decided to revive my fashion blog with a narcissistic photo of myself HAHA. I have been making an effort to dress up quite a fair bit out but I've been too lazy to take photos, shall take some photos real soon :') Holidays are here! For now, I'm getting back my papers tomorrow, praying hard it won't be a disaster!

RIP Steve Jobs :(

I apologise for neglecting this space for so long haha, I have been busy trying to spend my holidays with much satisfaction I've been procrastinator in fulfilling tasks. Anyway tomorrow is the start of school for me and I'm both nervous and excited. Actually I'm feeling more nervous than excited, cause firstly I'm having dance auditions for danceworks this week, and secondly I'm going to take back my O' level results for HMT tomorrow. It determines my fate: whether I'm going to do chinese again this year, and no, I do not wish to do so. My hip hop pants have arrived and I'm so excited for them to reach my house, I've also ordered a pair of TOMs for my new school shoe this year because Sinyee's toms felt so comfortable and stylish at the same time. On the other hand, I bought myself a camel-coloured haversack from Baggu hehe for school, been so into camel colours lately... I'm still contemplating whether I should cut my fringe short to wispy bangs, and the decision shall be made by tonight. A new start for school and I feel like a kindergarten kid, I need new school shoes, bag, and even undergarments actually HAHAHAHA :>

I'm currently removing my nail polish and I'm feeling so upset that I can't be as liberated during school anymore. Remember my camel knitted cardigan? It shrunk in size after washing and I'm rather upset cause the cutting isn't as nice as it was before! Anyway I was talking with my mom, and I've decided to look for another church where I can join in one of the youth ministries because I feel like I'm straying away from Christ. I remember feeling much happier back in Secondary 2 and I miss those times I looked forward to go to Church every Saturday for classes. I'm going to find a way to revive my faith. Alright this is just goin to be a short post cause I have to go to bed early tonight, otherwise I don't know how I'm going to survive a long day tmrw! Will be posting soon, heap loads of photos left to post.

Music is fashion.

I was looking through some of the most renowned classical music of all times on youtube and I would love to be able to play these pieces before I die. I would probably die happily having these pieces ringing in my head and then let myself seep slowly into a misty state of pink roses and doves- simply God's gifts to human ears and I personally feel that Yundi is perpetually one of the greatest pianist in the 21st century. Do give these pieces a decent listen:

For now, I shall just be satisfied trying to master Street tango by Astor Piazzola and Fantasia in D minor by Mozart. Moonlight Sonata by Wilhelm Kempff is still leaving me speechless every time I watch it, no, actually anyone who can master this piece is going to leave me in awe. What are some of your favourite classical pieces?

Fall on your knees, o hear the angels' voices

A merry christmas to all of you! I apologise for me being such a terribly irresponsible blogger given the bare rate of time spent on blogging. How did you spend your christmas? I spent them with my cousins at a wholesale market shopping for clothes, and it was awfully amazing. We spent 2 hours there because we were trying to accumulate more than 9 pieces of clothings, in order to get a discounted price. We were actually meant to catch a movie but my silly cousin went to book 3.40am instead of 3.40 pm :/ Ergo, shopping became part of the plan to spend christmas. Nevertheless I am glad with my new loots, espescially the camel coloured knitted cardigan I got, perfect for almost everything. If you happen to be in Singapore, you should totally bring your class/ whole bunch of friends to the editor's market at the top floor of cineleisure. Their clothes are great, and the best part is the more you buy, the cheaper it is, and if you are able to get 18 people to buy anything in the shop, your item will be given a 50% discount, hence it really is worth visiting! You should just bring your whole class to the shop for new year shopping or whatever. Also, I finally purchased myself a turban headband because apparently, I am a terrible failure in sewing. Haha I got a C for lifeskills in Sec 2, explains it all! All I'm hoping for now is to get rid of my clothes, and get a new bag for myself! Talking about bags, here a few of the bags which I would totally recommend you checking it out:

1.Thomas Wylde Oxford Circus Bag

2. Givenchy Nightingale Bag

3. Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag

4. Alexander Wang Donna Hobo

5. Alexander Wang Coco Duffel Bag

6. Proenza Schoulder Bag

Basically, I'm in love with Mary Kate's style.

I have to go spend more time sorting out my cash and focus less on spending them away! In lieu of christmas, I want to thank my family and friends for such a wonderful and meaningful year spent. I feel myself, growing, learning and becoming a more informed member of the world every single day, and I have my family and friends to thank for all the support and happiness they have given me, and most importantly, love. Peace be with you always!

Drops of jupiter in her hair

Mango denim jacket, aa skater dress, cotton on belt, f21 layered necklace, sam edelman inspired boots

It has been some time since I have blogged properly, and this is gonna be a rather rushy one cause I'm so tired! Spent my day at cycling at east coast park, rushing to church, coming home to bathe and change and get ready for dinner out and movie night! Been such an awesome day well spent with my family, and I'm feeling so satisfied and happy now. The highlight of today was the movie. Haha we wanted to watch let me in tonight, and we were all sitting comfortably in the theatre waiting for the movie to begin, and then the almighty cathay couldn't play let me in cause their film is spoilt. We were given a choice to watch 'my soul to take' and later given a complimentary ticket each to watch let me in again another time. Honestly, I understand that they would not want this to happen either but this is really quite disgraceful to their "75 years" of movie showing experience. Shouldn't they be experienced enough to double check the film and undergo all necessary procedures before letting people into the theatre? Nevertheless, I do commend their efforts to please picky audiences like us. On a lighter note, here are a few songs I've been listening to lately: Waiting by the lines by Greyson Chance, Drops of jupiter by train, 2012 by Jay Sean (feat. Nicki Minaj). Have a go listening to them if you haven't! I really like Greyson Chance a lot, I don't know why but there's this down-to-earth personality in him which makes him so adorable:)

What I wore today would really require me to control my diet, otherwise the nasty stomach bulging out will probably spoil everything. But I'm quite satisfied with what I've put together in a rush and also pardon my wet hair haha! Good thing about being short: what my mom wears as a top can be worn as a dress for me ^^ Alright then, shall go to sleep now and probably dream of Ian Somerhalder *v*

How to make your own turban headband.

Recently, I've been seeing lots of cute headbands in gossip girl, especially on Blair, and one of which is her turban style headband. As usual, google is practically my answer to all questions, so I found a tutorial on making turban-style headbands!

What You Need:

  • Fabric that stretches: spandex, and knits work well
  • Sewing machine or ability to hand-sew (which is easy to learn)

How To:

Cut two strips, 8″ wide by 24″ long. The length varies on how huge your head is but you want the headband to be snug. Your fabric should stretch more one way than the other, make sure it stretches the way that will help you put it over your head.

Turban-Style Headband Strips

Sew the strips together (1/4″ seam allowance) so they are half the width. Turn the fabric inside out so you have two tubes of fabric

“Link” the two strips bringing the open/raw edges together. Make sure your seams are showing out at this point.
Sew the four ends of the strips together. Turn inside out so now the seams and seam allowance are inside.

Jazz it Up: Feel free to embellish your headband with studs or beads or whatever you have around the house.

Recycle: Instead of buying fabric, use an old t-shirt with a cool graphic print on it or fun pattern

I hope this was useful! Gonna try this out myself too, can't wait :)It's not everyday you can use recycled clothings and turn it to something fashionable right!
